Skin Health: These are the Top 5 tools you need for your daily routine

New Year New Skin it’s time to start glowing. Every year we have different things we do to detox from last year’s baggage. That baggage could be bad eating habits, bad spending habits, cluttered space or what ever else you don’t want to bring into the new year. But how many of us put the focus on the thing that identifies who we are? - our face.

There is no better compliment then someone telling you that you’re GLOWING. Especially when pregnancy is not a factor. Living in a world of filters we tend to neglect our natural bare face and rely on makeup and effects to make us feel beautiful. However, as an esthetician, I am here to guide your skin to the best health it’s ever seen.

The first step to healthy skin is having a daily skin care regimen. That consists of a cleanser, toner, serum, and moisturizer. You should also add in a weekly face masque and exfoliant based on your skin type.

There are plenty of trends that promise to bless your skin, but let me be the one to tell you - your personal skin care regimen is the key to healthy glowing skin. However, there are some trends that I have jumped on and grown to love. Normally, I like to keep it simple with my go-to products and skin care regimen but there are 5 facial tools that I cannot live without.

  1. JADE ROLLERS

When applying a sheet mask like the one used in this video, use a jade roller to help smooth the mask onto your face & after when the mask is removed to help the product absorb into your skin. Jade Rollers can also be used to help with lymphatic drainage and blood circulation. It’s a must have tool for your skin care regimen!

  2. FACIAL CLEANSING BRUSHES

Sometimes our hands just aren’t enough to get rid of the built up dirt and oil that clogs the pores of the face.  Facial cleansing brushes provide a deep clean and also help exfoliate your skin, sloughing off dead skin cells, leaving you with a smooth and vibrant complexion.

  3. FACIAL STEAMERS

Clogged pores? Adding a facial steamer to your skin care routine will help to open your pores and improve the effectiveness of your facial treatments.

  4. EXFOLIATING GLOVES

Another tool I can’t live without is a pair of exfoliating gloves. Exfoliating bath gloves can turn a body cleanse into a next level experience by gently exfoliating dry, dead skin cells from the surface of the skin and giving the body a deep cleanse and radiant glow.

  5. GUA SHA STONE

Facial Gua Sha is an ancient healing technique that visibly rejuvenates the skin through light pulling + lifting massage motions using a smooth gemstone tool. The results are felt immediately and include detoxifying, depuffing, softening fine lines + wrinkles, sculpting facial muscles, brightening skin tone, releasing tension and improving the overall health of the skin.
